JJJ as initials? Too ridiculous?

Love Jasper as a first name.

Have to have James as a middle name.. (Every male in my family as its a family surname that's going to die out)

And our surname is J..... A veeeery popularJ first name!

Jasper James J.... Totally silly?

Felicity Milly Molly Mandy isn't real. She's a character from a book

Felicitywascold · 23/10/2012 19:33

Ok ok I got my Milly, Molly, Mandy post wrong...

However, I stand by the sentiment that there is nowt wrong with three J names in a row. It is not as if the child is likely to be called all three names at once, out loud, regularly is it?

I like alliteration (although I agree, Milly, Molly, Mandy is a bit much... Which is why I didn't think it was real!), what your proposing is fine.

BackOnceAgainWithLoopyLoops · 23/10/2012 15:25

Crikey, Felicity, that was a strong and silly post!

OP, I like Jasper Jones. Would it be silly to add another middle name to buffer it a bit?

jojane · 22/10/2012 19:45

My first and middle names begin with j, growing up I was determined to marry a mr jones or mr Jameson or what ever so I would be jjj!! Unfortunately mr right had a different initial for his surname so I am now jjs

"Milly, Molly, Mandy weren't all the same person for heavens sake"

Milly-Molly-Mandy is one (fictional) person, see here

SkiBumMum · 22/10/2012 19:41

Felicity Milly Molly Mandy's full name is Milicent Margaret Amanda

LonelyCloud · 22/10/2012 19:38

Felicitywascold - Milly-Molly-Mandy was all the same person.

Snowflakepie · 22/10/2012 19:36

As long as the first name and last name sound right together, the other initials don't matter. Hardly used anyway. As long as they don't spell something rude its fine.

Felicitywascold · 22/10/2012 19:11

Milly, Molly, Mandy weren't all the same person for heavens sake Hmm

lycisca · 22/10/2012 17:41

Triple J is a western Australian music station...

AreYouAbleMabel · 22/10/2012 16:59

I adore alliteration so a bug thumbs up from me

BackOnceAgainWithLoopyLoops · 22/10/2012 16:55

Milly Molly Mandy. Not sure tbh.

Felicitywascold · 22/10/2012 16:52

It's really fine. Only MN hysteria would convince anyone otherwise. Out there ... In the real world. Noone cares/notices/raises an eyebrow.

MoelFammau · 22/10/2012 16:48

Why are some folk so anti-alliteration? My name alliterates and everyone comments on how funky it is. I'm 34.

justhayley · 21/10/2012 20:54

I think add another name to break it up a bit. It's not ridiculous though as middle names arnt used that much anyway.

LonelyCloud · 21/10/2012 20:00

It reminds me of John Jonah Jameson from Spiderman Grin

CrapBag · 21/10/2012 20:00

I don't see how initials matter tbh.

No one is going to think "oh look at him with 2 j's as initials' and take the piss.

As long as it isn't spelling out 'KNOB' or something then its fine. Grin

peachypips · 21/10/2012 19:53

I was JJ before I got married. I also know a
couple called Joy and Jeremy Jackson which I love! Never caused any of us any probs.

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 21/10/2012 10:46

you might want this then

FromHereToNextTuesday · 21/10/2012 10:44

I know 2 JJJs (both men in mid-twenties) and they both like it. It's fine!

GlaikitFizZombie · 21/10/2012 10:44

I think its fine. Go for it!

curiousgeorgie · 21/10/2012 10:41

I wouldn't mind if my child was a superhero Wink

ScaryBeardyDeadyman · 21/10/2012 10:40

Do you want your child to be a marvel superhero/character? They all have alliterative names...
