We have 2 boys, Alfie and Jack.

Both very common although not common where we live. Both have middle name of James.

Ds3 will have middle name of James too.

Can't decide/agree in a first name. What do you think?

Bradley?
Ben?
Dylan?

Or something else?

FrickinAnnoyed · 29/09/2012 13:11

Dylan

SarryB · 29/09/2012 10:56

Mine is Dylan Jack. I know that Jack is quite a common name, but Dylan isn't (not round here anyway - I'm in Scotland).

DolomitesDonkey · 29/09/2012 06:49

I too have a Dylan James. :)

Dunno about not too common, it's shooting up the popularity lists and imagine my surprise when I took him for his 4 week check-up and the nurse called out Dylan... and someone else stood up. We don't live in the UK, never mind Wales!

mathanxiety · 29/09/2012 06:04

Just not Bradley. It's as bad as Brian.

Badgerina · 29/09/2012 04:32

Dylan. Even Dylan Thomas himself favoured the Anglicised pronunciation.

PickledFanjoCat · 28/09/2012 23:01

It's lovely, by far my favourite on your list!

SarryB · 28/09/2012 23:00

Mine is called Dylan. His Welsh Grandad calls him 'Dullan', but we say 'Dillon'. I think it's a brill name ;)

PickledFanjoCat · 28/09/2012 22:58

My welsh speaking friend Dylan gets very upset about it if he gets called dillan!

Don't think it's at all a problem though if you live in England and want to pronounce it that way?

NellyJob · 28/09/2012 22:57

as pickledfanjocat said it's a Welsh name and the English pronunciation of it is v annoying tbh and makes me think of a character from the magic roundabout...Smile

Tryingtothinkofnewsnazzyname · 28/09/2012 22:56

Oh! Well, every day's a school day Smile

PickledFanjoCat · 28/09/2012 22:54

As its welsh it's pronounced here dull-an more than dillan

jellybeans · 28/09/2012 22:53

I like them all but Dylan really goes well with your other DC names. My fave is Bradley.

Tryingtothinkofnewsnazzyname · 28/09/2012 22:39

NellyJob How else would you pronounce it? Die-lan? Smile

Quite a few Dylans round here.

Numberlock · 28/09/2012 22:39

funny ha ha love it, ten out of ten for you!

Honeymoonmummy · 28/09/2012 22:36

Dylan James is my DS's name (18 months) - we don't hear many other boys with the name Dylan.

NellyJob · 28/09/2012 22:31

Dylan pronounced Dilln is really annoying
Sorry I think Ben is...hmm....
Bradley is OK

FunnysInLaJardin · 28/09/2012 22:28

Baby David, of course Grin

FunnysInLaJardin · 28/09/2012 22:26

Ben, but do think it's odd that they all have the same middle name

Natnat29 · 28/09/2012 22:24

I really like the name Bradley Esp this olympic year :). Think it sounds nice with your other sons name too

Melindaaa · 28/09/2012 22:12

Dylan, Ben, Bradley in that order.

We have a Jack and a Ben, a Joe and a Harry.

PickledFanjoCat · 28/09/2012 22:09
