Is it fun or do all the bad Nancys ruin it? Beth Orton's daughter is called Nancy apparently.

I like it!

oohdaddypig · 04/08/2014 06:58

I dislike it, too. It looks frilly.

And because of Oliver Twist, it's a prostitute's name to me...

burgatroyd · 04/08/2014 06:41

This excellent!!!!

LiberalLibertines · 04/08/2014 01:49

I love it :)

NadiaWadia · 04/08/2014 01:30

Dull and frumpy.

ZenNudist · 03/08/2014 23:29

Don't like it sorry

Sophronia · 03/08/2014 23:28

I dislike it, but that may be because I knew a horrible Nancie, spelt this way.

Lagoonablue · 03/08/2014 20:33

Love it. Wanted it but had a boy.

Appledore27 · 03/08/2014 20:32

SoulTrain · 02/10/2012 20:08

You're clearly hanging with the wrong crowds! Wink

nancy75 · 02/10/2012 18:59

I have never been called nance pants!

SoulTrain · 01/10/2012 20:19

It's MY name and its clearly FANTASTIC.

Hope Beattheclock wasn't talking about me Blush.

You do get called Nance, and you've all missed the obvious Nance Pants or Nancy-Pancy BUT if you tie yourself up in knots of what nn may occur for your child you'll be fairly limited.

LizLemon007 · 01/10/2012 12:27

Is nancy del ollio's name short for Anunciatá. The accent goes the other way there but I can't do it.

Chigley1 · 01/10/2012 10:04

Love love love itGrin
I would have had it for my daughter if I hadn't already had a son with a very obvious Dickensy name! I am a big CD fan and thought people might have been a bit Hmm

Nancy Spungen (murdered by Sid)

What is your dd's name 1944girl?
I think of Nancy as nn for Constance and also also those welsh names with Nan in them and even Ann.

KatieMorag · 01/10/2012 07:28

Sorry to disagree with the consensus but I think it's horrid

LizLemon007 · 01/10/2012 07:27

LizLemon007 · 01/10/2012 07:26

Queenofsiburbia · 30/09/2012 23:19

I like it, it reminds me of Nancy Blackett from swallows & amazons: a fantastic role model for girls!
Although also makes me think of bill Sykes' abused other half in Oliver twist. Not such a great role model! She was the heroine though (and he got his comeuppance!).

I don't think of it as posh or common or anything, just British I guess.

nancy75 · 28/09/2012 23:04

Lol at a bit posh! I sound like Peggy Mitchell
