Miranda - do you like the name?

Is it a lovely name? Never mind mentioning the TV programme as that won't matter in a year or so.

Viola is lovely. If I had a fourth dd I think I'd go for that. No more babies here though! So we'll stick with Miranda, Rosalind and Beatrice (spot the connection - it's not hard!)

...as in, "He's going to Read you your Miranda Rights...". Sounds a little on the
"Arresting" side to us.When you say the word "Miranda" over here...Everyone
Jumps.

I think Sex & The City and then Ms Hart before Shakespeare. Bit frilly for me and the fear of ever being nicknamed Randy might put me off but I can see why people love it and the other potential nns -Mirrie, Mimi, Mandy- are nice.

I have one. Nobody ever shortens her name to anything dodgy and it's a great strong name. Mine is 14 and we once met one about 3 years younger but it is rare.

My little sister had a doll called Miranda that she used to shorten to Randy....

But the name as it stands is pretty.

I like it, for the sheakspearian connection, and a I know two women called Miranda, and they are both lovely women.
So good connotations all round for me!
