We're still seeking inspiration. Can you give me your absolute favourite girls name - just one - never min whether it goes with siblings or surname or is too posh or dh doesn't like it. I'd just love to know everyone's favourite. Maybe we'll be inspired.

As others have given many more than one favourite I am sneaking back with Norah - still not my dd's name but I have hopes for a granddaughter one day Wink

It's already been mentioned more than once but - Naomi. Far & away my favourite girls' name. I love my DSs but am wistful that I never had a Naomi.

Cecily - just beautiful and timeless (and oddly not my daughter's name)

Sylvie-Rose.

DH thinks I insisted on calling DD "Josephine" after a quite-liked aunt.

In fact, she was named after John Otway's song of the same name. Click & enjoy:

At the moment my favourite name is Tahlia. I was going to use it with DD3 but exMIL kept saying I-talia instead so went with something else Angry

Kate.

As you can see from my name I nearly got my way. Dh mentioned one time that he liked Katie and I dove on it! I call her Kate whenever he's not listening.

She's legally Katherine so I have Kate-based-hopes for when she is a teenager.....

(Although she prefers to be known as Peppa Pig.)

Ach - no idea. I always loved Poppy, but when we had DD we went with a safe family name. She was due in September, but had I known she would be born in October then I would have considered October as a name, or Octavia.

I have also always loved Hebe.

Florence. Or Claudia. Can't decide!

Wafflenose · 19/09/2012 22:44

Sennen, and I missed my chance. I had two DDs, and thought of it after the last one was born. You're welcome to it though, as we're not having any more.

I do love my DDs' names, though!

Ample · 19/09/2012 22:41

Favourite name is my dd's - already mentioned above I see Smile

Second all-time favourite is Juliet (with a quiet 't' not ette, and yes it does makes a difference!)

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 19/09/2012 22:38

Honor, which I love and couldn't use - twice - because it doesn't work with either of our surnames.
