We're still seeking inspiration. Can you give me your absolute favourite girls name - just one - never min whether it goes with siblings or surname or is too posh or dh doesn't like it. I'd just love to know everyone's favourite. Maybe we'll be inspired.

Think Robbie Williams chose well with Theodora and Rose.

Emilia is lovely too - used to like Amelia but that' become very fashionable....

(Melanie would be dreadful with our surnames though, so would not use it myself; DD is Cecily).

MoChan · 20/09/2012 11:33

I've lots of favourites but most have been mentioned by others; here's one I like that hasn't: Melanie.

I can't chose one because I have 2 dd's and couldn't chose between their names. But glad to see their names, plus their middle names, my name, my middle name and the names of both my nieces are all on this list!

Unfortunately other people will shorten them and the DC themselves may well do-you have no control.

Ursulka · 20/09/2012 10:19

Enid
Annabel
Betty

101handbags · 20/09/2012 09:51

Alice, Charlotte, Victoria. And I wouldn't shorten any of them.

exoticfruits · 20/09/2012 09:50

Sarah

Spanishomelette · 20/09/2012 09:34

Thea
Esme
Anya
Miranda

In that order! I love the name Thea and really hope it doesn't get too popular.

My Amelia is in the 6th form - never met anyone of her age with the same name, I am obviously a trendsetter!

GinaAr · 20/09/2012 09:33

Our girls are called Maria and Sarina (Mediterenean for Sarah)
We also liked Eva and Isabella

EmmaNemms · 20/09/2012 09:31

Henrietta and Amelia (DD's)
Iris (close third)
Cordelia (never had the confidence!)

lookout · 20/09/2012 08:52

Inès, if we ever had a girl this would be her name. I adore it. Only boys so far though...

emmyloo2 · 20/09/2012 08:52

God I can only choose one?

If I can only choose one then it would have to:

Alexandra

(I think)

but then also

Elizabeth
Henrietta
Victoria

as back ups.

also loving Isadora at the moment...

dieciocho · 20/09/2012 08:14

Isabel (my amazing sister) - why, oh why has everybody already used it? Now I can't.

PowerDresser · 20/09/2012 07:51

I hope Norah's surname will not be Bone.
