We're still seeking inspiration. Can you give me your absolute favourite girls name - just one - never min whether it goes with siblings or surname or is too posh or dh doesn't like it. I'd just love to know everyone's favourite. Maybe we'll be inspired.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Bridget. I'm glad DC2 turned out to be a boy as we'd already used up my favourite girls name on DD Smile

Anya is my most fave.

I have 2 DS's and have never had to think seriously about girl's names!

sorry, just one: would have to be Elena then

DerbyNottsLeicsNightNanny · 19/09/2012 15:01

Shona - LOVE but would prob never use
Thea - love, may use
Emily - love but friend had a cat we called Emily pin head so just cannot use!
Renae - love but think needs to go with more unsual surname than ours
Amy - current most-likely-to-use-if-we-have-a-DD name. Family connection, its poss bit 'safe'? but suits any age, easy to say/spell etc
Megan - really liking this lately

mammanetta · 19/09/2012 15:00

Elena (meaning light, from Greek or Italian)
Also my mum's name Smile
Lucia (also meaning light)
Ella (my DD)

Lydia.

Have two boys (both with lovely names) and won't have any more DC, so I'll never use it. Better get a female cat!

JustSpiro · 19/09/2012 14:54

Tess, not Tessa, just Tess.

CheckItOutFartShoes · 19/09/2012 14:53

My DD has got my favourite 2 girls names: Emily Beth. So I'm buggered if I ever have another girl.

googlyeyes · 19/09/2012 14:52

Lily

Just beautiful. I love pretty much all the flower names though

LaFataTurchina · 19/09/2012 14:51

Isabella
Sophia

(Can't use either of them for hypothetical future DDs 'tho as know people with those names and it'd feel weird.)

Pudgy2011 · 19/09/2012 14:50

Darcy. Love love love it.

Ophelia and Sophia are beautiful. So feminine and soft.

Trazzletoes · 19/09/2012 14:45

Xanthe. Desperately wanted to call DD Xanthe. DH said it sounded chavvy Hmm gutted.

racingheart · 19/09/2012 14:44

It's over used, so probably not much use to you, but my all-time favourite is Sophia. Love the sound, the meaning (wisdom) and had a stunningly beautiful Spanish friend of that name in childhood, so I always associate it with lovely, beautiful children.
