I prefer Jane.

Clawdy · 03/10/2012 20:33

Carolina is nicer than either!

doublemuvver · 03/10/2012 20:19

my lovely sis-in-law is a Caroline but is also known at Cazmo!

sausagesandwich34 · 03/10/2012 00:14

I love the name caroline

went to school with one, nicknamed caz

I hate caz -ugh

Cezella · 03/10/2012 00:11

I think it's nice but a bit mumsy. My friend Caroline gets called "Lines" by everyone which I think is cool

NightLark · 02/10/2012 17:33

Love it, wanted it, DH vetoed it. Was going to call her Caroline (nn Callie).

scootle · 02/10/2012 17:29

Gorgeous name. I was at school in the 1970s and there were quite a few around then, but none now. It suddenly occurred to me that I loved this name when dd2 was 1!

Jusfloatingby · 02/10/2012 16:24

Caroline's okay but Jane is one of my favourite names.

OrangeFireandGoldashes · 02/10/2012 16:21

Nice classic name. I have known a few Carolines/Carolyns of different ages and nicknames have tended to be Caz, Carrie or Caro.

HiHowAreYou · 02/10/2012 13:16

I like Caroline. Carrie is a nice nn.

PiedWagtail · 02/10/2012 11:20

Lol - so funny! Jane and Caroline are my and my sister's names :) I like them both - Caroline is v pretty and not reduced to a nn in our house.

Longtalljosie · 02/10/2012 11:04

I'd love Caroline but unfortunately there are good reasons why it's out of the question. Oh well.

derekthehamster · 18/09/2012 16:33

I know a few Carolines, Only one has been shortened to Cal.

Minty82 · 18/09/2012 16:27

Caroline's pretty - cute on a little one and elegant on a grown up. Carlie's another nn option?
And actually I think Jane's great - there are so few around these days it's gone from being the plainest possible option to a genuinely unusual choice!

mayanna123 · 18/09/2012 10:01

Caroline or Jane would make a refreshing change from the huge numbers of little Ellies,Evies, Tillys, Millys, Poppys etc. Both are lovely classic underused names!

MrsMiniversCharlady · 17/09/2012 12:46

I really dislike both names, sorry.

NadiaWadia · 17/09/2012 12:45

And Jane is OK, but a bit dull. Would make a nice middle name though!

NadiaWadia · 17/09/2012 12:44

It's a really pretty classic name. Makes me think of the 'Sweet Caroline' song.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 17/09/2012 12:37

Sorry neither.

Both are dated, Jane is a bit dull.

squoosh · 17/09/2012 12:37

I really like Caroline. I know a few and none of them have ever been nicknamed Caz! I hate those Z nicknames, so ugly. Carrie is lovely though.

PollyIndia · 17/09/2012 12:33

My mum's name so I like it :)

undertheduvet · 17/09/2012 12:04

I like it especially as its my name ;-) also jane is my middle name. I've never really had it shortened to anything, so i wouldnt worry too much about that

happybubblebrain · 17/09/2012 12:03

I don't really like either.

Mintyy · 17/09/2012 12:02

Beautiful. Classy. Excellent choice.

PeshwariNaan · 17/09/2012 11:59

I think it's beautiful - it was my grandmother's name and I'd be using it except that my sister's reserved it in case she has a girl next.
