My friend is expecting her 3rd baby and she is looking for a modern name for her baby beginning with K . She doesn't know the sex of the baby yet ... any ideas ? ?

Kontol

Badgerina · 09/09/2012 01:30

Yes, I know I go on about the high court judge thing, but it IS one of the most absurd things I've ever read on a baby naming forum.

Badgerina · 09/09/2012 01:29

There are only 2 possible names that begin with K, that this form deems appropriate for a future high court judge (Mumsnet's offspring occupation of choice, apparently) and they are...

Drum roll...

Kit or Kitty.

In Ds's reception class are two Kade's (boys) and one Keelan (girl).

slowestwildebeast · 08/09/2012 23:04

Kimbra, somebody that you used to know?

LtEveDallas · 08/09/2012 22:56

I think K names are the new black. DDs (yr 3) class has 5 out of 18 (all boys) This years Reception Class has 11 out of 26 (mixed, and lots of them I've never heard before so couldn't tell you if they were boys or girls)

LouMacca · 08/09/2012 22:55

There are some really hideous K names on this thread! Kyle & Kai are bad enough but Keegan!!! Just saying........

racingheart · 08/09/2012 22:54

I love the name Katya (or Katja) for a girl.
Katie (how could anyone think that's common - it's a classic.) Keira, Karola, Keren, Kristin, Kali, Keris.

Kai is very nice for a boy. Kyle is fine too. Kristian is gorgeous, Kaleb, Kasper, Kerry, Keiran.

joanofarchitrave · 08/09/2012 22:52

Katharine.

FunnysInLaJardin · 08/09/2012 22:52

Katharine is quite posh and quite naice as is Katrina and Katherine. Also Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, Khardashian, and Kylie

KirstyJC · 08/09/2012 22:49

Kirsty is a lovely name.

I also know a Kian (boy) and I like Keira.

(I didn't realise MN didn't like K names. Maybe that's why I appear to be so good at killing threads?)

gallicgirl · 08/09/2012 22:46

Can't believe more people haven't suggested Kayden.

Surely a modern classic for any gender?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/09/2012 22:46

I'm a K name. I like my name and I'm frightfully middle class. So do fuck off K haters.

manicinsomniac · 08/09/2012 22:39

getmeoutofthismadhouse · 08/09/2012 21:31

Why on earth would it be a joke thread
? hmmmm , my youngest is 5 so I don't regularly come into the names threads to know K names aren't very liked ...

Some nice names to pass on there ... I could only offer Kacey, Keira for girls and Kaiden , Kai , Kian, Keegan , Kyle for boys ! Thanks for the help :)

I always like the name Keturah.

Chip is right, mumsnet thinks K names are terribly chav. And that Kardashian lot don't help.

I am a Kirsty, btw. Don't call a baby that, it's a shite name.
