I like Reuben, I know one called Ruby for short.

FunnysInLaJardin · 07/09/2012 15:58

No, not a criminal's name by any means! I know a 4yo Reuben with big brown eyes and a mane of blonde hair - he's cheeky and gorgeous Grin

I googled my sons name and a burglar in america came up in the search as did a place in Mexico Grin

So if its true he will be a burglar and be a sunny holiday resort.

In the bible, Reuben is the oldest Jacob's twelve sons (who fathered the 12 tribes of Israel). So definitely not a criminal's name.

it's not really popular either way where I live and I don't know any at all so had no preconceptions pre google, just liked it and DH likes it a lot (he's pretty set on it!)

No! It's a hip, trendy parents' name for their kids where I'm from.
Try wiki instead of Google? That should give you some famous ones.

AnnaBanananana · 07/09/2012 15:24

yeah sorry, I googled Reuben I get spellings backwards sometimes

dunno why, thought there might have been some famous ones or something... was all scarey mugshots and crime write ups

when I did same with DC1 there was an odd inventor or scientist etc

I'm not sure why it matters to me, but it was ALL baddies, no goodies

I would not have said so. Would spell it Reuben though.

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 07/09/2012 15:22

No I wouldn't say so. I think it is spelled Reuben though.
