Max or Charlie?

We have a two week old who is desperate need of a name. His brother is called Samuel and we are stuck between Max and Charlie. What do you think?

I have a friend who recently had a second boy. Their first was also called Samuel and the new addition is now called charlie (and max was their second choice).

I like both choices but I would say max is my first choice but Charlie is just as good

I have a Max too and he is lovely (may be slightly biased...). I vote for Max!

I like both but lean slightly towards Max. The only Max I know is a darling so there is at least one well-behaved Max in the world!

We obviously like the same names, as I have teenagers called Sam and Max. My favourite name at the time was actually Charlie, but it didn't go with my surname!

I agree that Sam & Max are similar-sounding names. It was part of the attraction for me, but it has meant that people do confuse them a lot. There are people we've known for years who still can't get their names the right way round. And when Max was little, one of his friends actually thought he was called "Samax" because that was what I always called him!!

i think i prefer max but my husband prefers charlie. hence the dilema
