The footballers Gary and Phillip Nevilles' dad is called Neville Neville.

I know at least 2 children called Storm.

Maybe it depends where you live,no one would think Storm was that unusual around here.

Dd went to preschool with a little boy called Dizzy. Always made me giggle as that was nickname of the biggest stoner at college. Poor mite - destined not to be taken seriously.

I went to school with a girl called Pepsi, apparently that's what her mum craved throughout the whole of her pregnancy...

My friend named her little boy Storm which would be fine had my mums old dog not been called Storm!

I had to take a radiograph of patient, Roger Mashitter, I Checked the spelling of the surname as I typed it with the patient and did all I could not to start howling.

Kaloobear · 30/08/2012 09:40

I knew a family of red heads called Saffron, Blaze, Rufus and Leo. I rather liked their name choices though I suppose if one child had been born blonde or brunette it would have thrown the theme out rather!

usualsuspect · 30/08/2012 09:39

Yeah they were babies once,70 years ago where those dreadful names should have stayed.

gazzalw · 30/08/2012 09:38

Cheyenne!

VirtuousVamp · 30/08/2012 09:37

But Gladys and Elsie must have been babies once!Grin. I do wonder what it will be like with all these OAPs in 70 odd years with names like blue sky, bunny bear, Shiraz etc!Grin. All the young Gladi and Elsies will be like Hmm

DS2 was at nursery with a Mavarick. Although I thought it was a pretty cool name.

usualsuspect · 30/08/2012 09:25

Nah, I hate these threads.

Alright then, the worst name I ever heard for a child is Albert or possibly Arthur.

Moominsarescary · 30/08/2012 09:24

ShoeJunkie · 30/08/2012 09:07

usualsuspect · 30/08/2012 09:02

Theres loads of names on this thread I wouldn't bat an eyelid at TBH.

But then I'm not a snob.

crackcrackcrak · 30/08/2012 08:59

I looked after siblings with double barrelled names which were something like Molly-jay and Tyler-dean. At drop off she would give them a lecture about how no one was allowed to shorten their names. They looked bored senseless as if they had heard this waffle daily for years. This offended me much more than the actual names Sad

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 30/08/2012 08:57

Stacy they are 3rd generation Rotherham, the parent in question at the nursery joked she is considered exotic by her family as she moved down south. I couldn't even judge them in a proper Mnet fashion as both mum and child were so bloody lovely Grin

crackcrackcrak · 30/08/2012 08:56

I kind if like La-a. The pronunciation would be quite acceptable in either America or in Afro carribean communities and a flamboyant girl could carry it off with style I reckon.
So Tulisa is the Kylie of this decade? Sigh. Tulisa is at least also a proper name. As is Levi but I expect most people think its just a brand of jeans.
