Worse name you EVER heard for a child

Today i went out and was doing shopping heard this name been called i thought it was a nickname, then the dad and nan said it to him, but fuck me i feel for the kid.

His name was DENIM.

I thought about this all day and it cant be...

Destiny, Precious and Truely all sound like perfectly acceptable Afro Caribbean names to me.

These threads sometimes strike me as a tiny bit racist.

My friend swears that while shopping, in asda she overheard a mum shouting at her toddler daughter "SILUMEHHHH !!!!! GET THE FOOK OFF THEM BISCUITS! NAHHHH!!"

presumably the poor kid was called, Silumi / Sillumey ?? Confused

I once heard someone shouting "get 'ere now jepetto"!!!! As In Pinocchio's father. Now that is an awful name.

Is savannah a bad name? I am one Envy, named after blue savannah though.

I always thought poison ivy the one that gives you rashes and blisters etc? Forgive me if i am wrong!

My least favourite name is Junior as in Jack Junior, Dave Junior, even Storm or Tiger Junior. At least pick them a name of their own.

My pet peeve is when eople use famous peopl's nicknames in the belief that those were there actual names. Spike, Coco, Woody and Bear are examples of this............

McKayz fair enough. But they were NOT French. They were very very VERY not French. I don't like to use the word chav but it's hanging heavy in the air.

Similar situation with the little girl called Monet..at least they spelled it correctly I suppose.

I have friends of a religious bent, who have named both their children with words they've invented themselves and which are abbreviations of phrases along the lines of "God is Love".

So the little boy is called Gilo (pronounced to rhyme with Milo, with a hard G).

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon Xander is a very common name in South Africa, I have several friends with Xanders. There is also a Xander/Zander in one of the popular soaps. Grin

There is a little boy named Denim in my street. Very odd.

Seen Today in Mothercare, An approximately 5 yo little blonde girl By the name of Ebony. Didn't think anything of it at the time though.

My friend has a dark haired Rufus and I know a few girls called Grace who are anything but Grin
