My DP likes Luna if we have a girl (Luna Livegood is his face HP character!) but Even though I like it because of it being "moon" (yes, hippy tendencies) I know she'll be called Loony at school. :-(

BlushBlushBlush bugger! I'm such a idiot. Don't listen to me its been a very long day blame sick DC and beer!

kilmuir · 25/08/2012 22:18

I thought of Bear in big blue house 's friend

jaffacakehips · 25/08/2012 22:17

Personally whist I like it, however reverse the spelling and see what you think?!?

BoyMeetsWorld · 25/08/2012 22:15

Lovely but definitely going to be seen as weird. & Harry Potter try-hard. Shame really as its a very pretty name...

fivegomadindorset · 25/08/2012 22:11

As long as your surname isn't Landing.

MrsBingo · 25/08/2012 22:10

I have always liked it but would never use it because of its meaning/connotation: the moon, craziness, nighttime, it's fascinating but a bit dark.

CanoeSlalom · 25/08/2012 21:02

It's nice but I think "lunatic" jokes would be inevitable.

mybootsaremuddy · 25/08/2012 20:26

I love Luna, it is the name of my 6yr old........ weimaranerGrin.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 25/08/2012 19:48

It's cool. I like it

But very easy for other kids to link it to HP Lunas unfortunate nickname - Loony. Does your surname begin with L? You might get away with it if not.

Springforward · 25/08/2012 19:46

Lovegood - are you OK with that?

Badgerina · 25/08/2012 19:45

Luna Lovegood is awesome though Grin

SirBoobAlot · 25/08/2012 19:42

Know someone who has just used this.

Think its a cats name, and will forever be associated with Harry Potter.
