If you were going to call your kids after your favourite novel characters....

What names would you choose?

I think mine would by Ayla for a girl (from the earth children series) and Harry for a boy (from Harry Potter Blush)

And Rowan for a boy, but DS1's dad hated it, and do did DS2 & 3's dad. And I'm not having any more.

Sophie. From BFG. Which I always wanted, even at 6yo, but for done reason didn't call my first DD that, and have only had boys since!

My DD is Meg Alice.

Meg for Little Women and Alice for Alice in Wonderland.

From adult novels, I might go for Dorothea (middlemarch), Harriet (Vane), and Elizabeth (Bennett).

From children's novels, perhaps Jo (little women), Petrova (ballet shoes), and one of the Swallows and Amazon girls though you can hardly call a girl Titty these days but I did like her.

DS is called Laurie after Laurie from Little Women (lucky DH agreed with me is the best name ever Grin)

Ohh, I already did this. DS's middle name is Oscar after Oscar in The Tin Drum by Gunter Grass. I love the Tin Drum, the main character decides he doesn't want to get any older than three so he jumps down the cellar stairs and remains the size of a three year old until many years later when he decides he does want to grow.
My DD is also named after a character in a children's TV series with horses init from a loooong time ago when I was little Grin.
