Beau or Gabriel, Poppy or Juliet

Have a DD called Amelie Lola..pregnant with my second and we don't know the sex yet. Was thinking of continuing the French theme with Juliet for a girl and Gabriel for a boy. But OH is not keen. He likes Beau for a boy and Poppy for a girl. I like them but think Beau could be taken the p* out of at school (B.O?!) and Poppy is lovely but maybe too common.
Every other name I mention he doesn't like!!

Any opinions on these names..or suggestions to go with sibling Amelie?

Not Beau

Love all the names apart from Beau which sounds abit american to me for some reason. (I mean, I know it's French just sounds like sort of name an American might be called).

Juliette is my personal favourite.

Gabriel and Poppy.

I like the name Beau, much prefer it to Gabriel IMO.

We had Poppy as our girl's name for DS1, but agree with you that it has become very popular and don't think I would name it for baby 3.

A friend named her little girl Lily Anouk (think it was after the little girl in Chocolat). I quite like Elise, think that is French?

Much prefer your choices. Classier, and will date less. Amelie and Juliet sound gorgeous together :)
