Lisa - which above spelling do you prefer?

No I am not joking. The whole family have common names with 'unique' spellings. Her brother's little boy is called Oliver spelt Oleever (or something like that).

Or maybe leighsar, but would worry about coming across as a bit up myself with that one Sad

SoupDragon · 08/08/2012 12:25

If she must, then Leesa. The poor child will spend her life saying, no, not L-I-S-A, L-E-E-S-A unless she changed her name.

TheDreadedFoosa · 08/08/2012 12:24

I prefer Leesuh.

libelulle · 08/08/2012 12:23

I would assume 'leesir' was a foreign name pronounced 'lee-seer' and 'leesar' ditto pronounced 'lee-sar'. Leesa is pronounceable but ugly compared to Lisa, sorry.

YoulllWinGoldOneDay · 08/08/2012 12:23

Ayisha?

lottiegb · 08/08/2012 12:23

In my head none of those sounds the same as Lisa, or the same as each other. different accents would add all sorts of complications.

seeker · 08/08/2012 12:23

You are joking, yes?

YoulllWinGoldOneDay · 08/08/2012 12:23

Lisa.

But if you absolutely must give an 'unusual' spelling, Leesa. That stands a chance of being pronounced Lisa. The others would be Lees-ir and Lee-Sar.

None of the words in your title are actually names....

What's wrong with Lisa?

BunnyLebowski · 08/08/2012 12:20

Lisa.

derekthehamster · 08/08/2012 12:19

Lisa

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 08/08/2012 12:18

Lisa.

Sirzy · 08/08/2012 12:17

Why not just Lisa?

If it has to be an alternative spelling the Leesa I guess.
