Lisa - which above spelling do you prefer?

What about Brian, pronounced Melanie?

Numberlock · 10/08/2012 09:33

That's very apt Trazzle, I did Russian at university.

He could even spell it in the Cyrillic alphabet, that would really confuse everyone!

Trazzletoes · 10/08/2012 09:27

Numberlock - in Russian there is no 'j' so if you were to transcribe James, it would be D-zh-a-ee-m-s

Numberlock · 10/08/2012 09:01

Who could forget Blue!

Check out the picture of Imagination on here!

The whole family have common names with 'unique' spellings. Her brother's little boy is called Oliver spelt Oleever (or something like that).

Suggestions please for 'unique' spellings for 3 sons' names - Daniel, Michael and James...

Bluestocking · 10/08/2012 08:33

Does anyone else remember Leee John and Imagination? We used to think he was craaaazy for spelling his name with three es. How lowkey that looks now.

Poor baby Leesar Grin

sostressedsostressed · 10/08/2012 01:06

Hey Flooded - thanks for the supportive email you sent me :) you're lovely.

The thread was deleted because people caught feelings. There was nothing wrong with my thread. I simply asked a question to gain advice on how to approach my bridesmaids on keeping fit so they could look their best on my wedding day. Tis all.

Anyway I am not going to bring that discussion on baby Leesar's thread.

End of discussion. It's officially Leesar.

This is a joke, yes?

Maybe she could go for something more piratey - Lis'aaaaargh

drtachyon · 09/08/2012 17:54

I prefer it spelt Lisa.

But if it has to be one of the three options given, then Leesa. The other two look like boys names.

catfart · 09/08/2012 17:52

I second Trazzletoes suggestion of J-a-n-e, pronounced Lisa or maybe just strip it down to a symbol like Prince did, a £ or $ sign would be lovely or maybe a ?????????

iklboo · 09/08/2012 17:50

Lleighzerrr

poorbuthappy · 09/08/2012 17:47

Leigh-czar.
With a silent hyphen.

MrTumblesSpottyBum · 09/08/2012 17:44

I quite like Leighphtsar (with a silent ph).

Stokes · 09/08/2012 13:03

There is surely no way this is real, but just in case it is, please point out to her that in the vast majority of english-speaking accents, the "R" on the end of a word isn't silent and so none of those read anything like Lisa to us.

SilverSixpence · 08/08/2012 23:55

This thread is hilarious! Seriously OP you should not be colluding in the bastardisation of a perfectly good name.

EdithWeston · 08/08/2012 23:50

Or just go for the full magical impact of Leviosa?

Ham69 · 08/08/2012 23:45

L'eigh'zsar
