Pretty and unique girls name ideas?

I'm looking for a pretty girls name to go with Poppy (DD1). I'm after something very uncommon though. I like Lucia but I don't think it goes with Poppy. And i also like Dolcie and Darlie (made that one up though!).

All ideas gratefully received!

I think Eloise is growing in popularity - the brother of a friend of mine called his daughter that about 7 years ago and I had never heard of it... Hearing it more and more now.

Lucia is my DD's name and so far have not come across any other Lucias! I still love it. And I think it goes well with Poppy.

I heard Philomena the other day and was really cross that I'd forgotten about it when choosing DD2's name!

imustbepatient · 05/08/2012 07:46

I met a gorgeous little Eloise yesterday, known as Lou-Lou but think the name may be growing in popularity?

Flosie1989 · 04/08/2012 22:25

My favourite girls name is Willow but also liked Darcey and Scarlett. I think Skye is a lovely name too

Wren is pretty too.

SmethwickBelle · 04/08/2012 14:54

Sylvia is due for a come back I reckon. I quite like Gloria too. Both 50s names, and all that retro stuff is in at the moment isn't it?

catinboots · 04/08/2012 14:50

I love Dulcie! Is it short for something?

lauratheexplorer · 04/08/2012 14:49

Ciara pronounced Key-Ah-Ra.

Haveyouheardtheone · 04/08/2012 14:46

I should have said unusual rather than unique. Something outside the top 50 names anyway.

Thanks for your replies - I like Dahlia, Ottillie and Honor best so far. Olive is sweet but I just think of what I had with some bread earlier Grin

I think Olive would be a lovely match for Poppy?!

AKissIsNotAContract · 04/08/2012 14:34

Ottillie

EdithWeston · 04/08/2012 14:33

I don't think you can guarantee unique unless you create your own.

Some less frequently used names that might go:

Cecily, Daphne, Coralie, Prunella, Grisela, Verona, Allegra, Dahlia, Della, Hadassah, Laurette, Maura, Carlotta?
