Really like the name Woody for a boy, but have always wanted the name on the birth certificate to be the full name not the nickname.
What do you guys think of Woodrow?
Also, my surname begins with a W and we want to use William as a middle name. Does WWW as initials work?

I don't see the issue with having WWW as initials. Initials are hardly used as well these days.

Woodrow is fine as a full name for Woody.

I think initials W. W. are quite cool!

Wilson

Better than KKK Grin

Why not just call him World Wide Web?! You can't possibly be serious about initials WWW surely?

LemonLovesLilac · 02/08/2012 14:43

I don't like Woodrow I think Elwood is a far more beautiful way to get the nn Woody

VolAuVent · 02/08/2012 11:41

If you're using Woody as nickname then Woodrow as full name is definitely the way to go, or Elwood.

(Not Edward, which isn't pronounced Ed-wood, but Ed-wuhd).

I wouldn't have wood and willy together - but I blame Louis Thereoux's weird weekend with the porn stars.

NurseBernard · 02/08/2012 11:22

Err, isn't Wilson...!

NurseBernard · 02/08/2012 11:21

Not to my taste, but as long as your surname is Wilson it's alright.
