Three syllable names... help

ivanapoo · 29/07/2012 22:54

I'd like a three-syllable name with the accent on the first syllable - think Theodore or Vivian (both possibles) - as it goes well with our surname but I am struggling to find any I really like.

Please help oh wonderful MNers...

It can't end in M (ie Miriam) and I like more classic than cute/funky names as a rule.

Boy or girl?

Valentine/a?

ivanapoo · 29/07/2012 22:57

I don't know what I'm having (on purpose) so I need a bit of both, thanks!

Ottoline, Geraldine, Eleanor, Maddison, Rhianna - all names in DDs class.
Boys are much more difficult apart from Adrian of course.

ivanapoo · 30/07/2012 08:06

Thanks all, some great ones in there.

I really like william and Emily but there are lots of wills in the family already and I have a feeling Emily is going to be the next big baby name if it's not already...

There are lots of others I like which friends, family etc have already used and some which we prob shouldn't use as with our fairly common surname they make the names of famous people.

I also like Romily, Rafferty, Rosalind/Rosalie, Cecily, Marianne, Frederick

Thaddeus and Cillian are cool too but might be a bit out there for DH... I can only ask.

A few others inspired by this list - what do you think of Leonie (and how do you pronounce it eg LEE-o-nee or Lee-OH-nee) and Marelise/Merelise?

Thanks, let me know what you think of the ones that have caught my eye.
