Help me! Totally stuck on a name for our baby (we know she's a girl).

I'd like something unusual but not odd. Love pretty names for girls ending with a 'y' sound. If Lily or Millie were unusual names that's the kind of thing we'd go for.

We also have greek relatives so could use a Greek name but also no ideas here. Love flower names as well but can't find any unusual ones.

Can't have a 'r' sound though - i can say my 'rs' but never comfortable with them. So e.g. 'raphaela' would be out or 'primose' (not that I like primrose anyway but YKWIM).

If you're not already fed up of my list of requirements, can you please please give me some ideas?! Xxxxxxx

Thalia
Louisa
Helena
Persephone (I know it has an R, but so many shortenings! Poppy, Eppie, Seffie...)

where I grew up there was a Phoebe whose dad was Greek

it was a very unusual name then (50s)

Xanthe is fab. It does mean golden-haired though - which is why we didn't use it as our DD was very dark and still is. DS however would make a wonderful Xanthe Grin

Phoebe

Ooh Lila's on the list as well now.

Sadly I know a Zoe, Lottie and a Josephine

I like Zoe :)

I would have been a Zoe if my dad had won the baby-names discussion, apparently!

How about Zoe? That's relatively uncommon, ends in an -y sound, and it's actually Greek.
