Yes, but not in a bad way. I like it!

puds11 · 21/07/2012 18:42

Would you call her both, or would one be a middle name only? If you would say both i think its a bit much, if one is a middle name that doesnt get used then i think its ok

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 21/07/2012 18:44

fine if it's not for everyday.

MammyToMany · 21/07/2012 18:45

It would just be a middle name, it's a family name (Josephine) so would like to use it but didn't know whether it was to much.

Will probably have a 4th boy but thinking about girls names anyway Smile

Roisin is lovely as a first name, Josephine is good as a middle name but too much used together, which you aren't doing. You never know on the boy front, quite common the have 3 boys then a girl.

Would you use Joseph if you do have a boy?

AThingInYourLife · 21/07/2012 19:02

Both nice names but Róisín Josephine sounds a bit silly.

MammyToMany · 21/07/2012 19:15

I'm not keen on Joseph. A boy would be Seamus or Paddy I think.

Roisin Joesphine Mary is a possibility.

I actually love my own name but couldn't really use it I suppose, I'd feel odd about using it as a middle name too (my friend has 3 dds though and they all have her name as a middle name)

My Ds3 has his dadda and his grandas name as middle names.

Mam, you could use your name, there's a family name in my family which alternates from first to middle and one which is passed straight down.

Seamus is nice.

Leeds2 · 21/07/2012 21:21

For me, it would be too rhymey!

Northernexile · 21/07/2012 21:24

I like it- both lovely names.

scottishmummy · 21/07/2012 21:25

ghastly
too twee too sing songey

Ham69 · 21/07/2012 21:29

I think it's slightly rhymey but only in a good way, I love my daughter's first and middle name but rarely say them together so who cares!

Sossiges · 21/07/2012 21:33

Quite rhymey but I think sounds better with Mary for some reason

twonker · 21/07/2012 21:45

mammy why not use your own name? Lots of men do this, and in other cultures it is the norm for firstborn boys to get dads name and firstborn girls to get mums name. If you really are mammy to many, I think it would be nice to pass your name on.

shimmy0 · 21/07/2012 21:58

No give the child it's own name for goodness sake. Calling a child after yourself is just glorifying yourself.

aquashiv · 23/07/2012 22:07

lovely names
