Roman.

bigbluebump · 11/07/2012 19:59

I think Roman is much nicer/classier than Jonah. Also, the meaning of Jonah (bringer of bad luck) isn't nice.

Roman also works in most other languages - great, international name.

Agree with missmiss. At least go with Romanus.

VolAuVent · 11/07/2012 16:04

Jonah

missmiss · 11/07/2012 15:33

I much prefer Jonah. Roman is all right, but to my mind it's a bit like calling your child 'Babylonian' or 'Prussian'.

bananaramma · 11/07/2012 15:17

Roman definitely!

squoosh · 11/07/2012 14:42

Unless he becomes a sailor or a pirate he needn't worry about the tale of Jonah.

MyMelody · 11/07/2012 14:38

Jonah is lovely but apparently it means 'bringer of doom' which is a shame!

squoosh · 11/07/2012 14:33

Jonah.

No idea why, but the name Roman always conjures up the image of a male stripper. Confused

EugenesAxe · 11/07/2012 14:32

I know a lot of Jonahs, so it's a vote for Roman from me.

Ambrosius · 11/07/2012 14:30

Roman.

iseenodust · 11/07/2012 14:24

Jonah is lovely.

DottieRose · 11/07/2012 14:21

Both lovely, the only problems have with Jonah is that it may be shortened to Joe which I personally do not like!

WithACherryOnTop · 11/07/2012 14:04

I love both. They're two of my favourite names. I can't choose between them which isn't very helpful I know. But they're both excellent choices.
