so, dh and I are still arguing discussing names.

it wasn't this hard for the other 3, so no idea why we are struggling this time Confused

anyway, first boy (obviously we find girls easier to name!), and we are finding it hard.

like names like Edward (can't use because of alliteration with surname), Dominic (don't like the shortenings, and also alliteration with surname).

so, thus far our short list is:

Caspar (or maybe Caspian - we are torn)
Arthur
Phillip

dh likes Octavian Hmm but I am putting my foot down on that one!

oh, fgs. am really going round in circles with this one

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like Conrad and Laurence - dh doesn't (we clearly just don't agree on boys names!)

so far we have a Harriet, an Olivia and a Beatrice.

Here are a few more ideas from our shortlists. Can you tell us what your other children are called?

Marcus
Conrad
Justin
Laurence
Francis

thanks for the views Smile

Edwin is nice, but has the same problem (it's the 'd' that is the issue - think Edward Woodward but without the 'w'! Grin). that said, I have been mulling over Edward again, and wondering how much of an issue it is (how often do you say your full name?)

Can't have Benedict as is a close relation.

If a name like Edward (or Benedict, come to that), would be a good fit with the rest of the family, do you think Caspar is a bit 'out there'?

talking about it with dh last night, we also came up with Constantine - we both like it, but there is a pronunciation problem (I would say it with een ending, dh with eyen, iyswim) so looks like that is out too.
