Baby being born by planned section on Tuesday and if it's a boy we are going to be calling him Beau but I'm really struggling with middle names, we are using both mine and bf's surnames so perhaps we shouldn't have a middle name at all? Help me!!!!!!

Sebastian was another name we had thought about and I'd not thought about using it as a middle name.

I love this thread too Grin

How come no one has suggested Beau Brumell?

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 06/07/2012 21:55

BoDen! Well this is Mumsnet after all. and Bodiddly - naturelment. I think this is only a little teensy thread but it is worthy of Classics.

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 06/07/2012 21:53

BeauDacious! Fucking genius. I am gutted I didn't think of that.

This thread has cheered me up no end.

Joking apart I think something a bit more boring less unusual might be appreciated. DD has just said that if she had been called Beau she would have changed her name.

I like Beau Alexander too. It sounds good and strong.

marshmallowpies · 06/07/2012 19:40

HerMajesty George (Gideon) Osborne, that's who. Too straight laced & dull to be a Gideon.

I quite like the sound of Beau Alexander but might be a bit long if you are having 2 surnames.

All joking aoart, it's a lovely name and Beau Benedict is very nice indeed. If Beau is not for him he can just be Ben.

(although how many people decide they are too straight/boring for their own name? Confused)

Susieloo · 06/07/2012 19:32

Good point re initials!! Hadn't thought about that at all, very glad I posted and asked now.

Derek

(Beau Benedict sounds very nice, so long as your surname is not Gunn.)

Thank you VolAuVent, you've reminded me that we had talked about Harrison as a first name Smile

AgathaTrunchbull · 06/07/2012 19:26

The two Beaus I've known have been Beau Jenson and Beau Jupiter. Some people clearly aren't bothered by certain initial combinations! Definitely agree with the comments above about having a less unusual middle name as a fall-back.

BlueberryPancake · 06/07/2012 19:24

Harry? Beau Harry? Harribo, get it?

I love the name, and I think that a strong classic middle name would be lovely. I love David, Beau David sounds very nice. Beau Benedict? Beau Matthew?
