My first association = Anne of Green Gables' best mate. Second, another lovely lady with long black hair: Diana Ross.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Princess of Wales (and I am in Ireland)

squoosh · 04/07/2012 12:24

It's a nice name but too associated with one person for me to see it objectively.

squoosh · 04/07/2012 12:24

I'm not sure I believe you that Princess of Wales is third on your lost of most memorable Dianas.

birdofthenorth · 04/07/2012 12:22

PoW. Now wondering if she ever thought of being Princess of Wales as being a Prisoner of War?!

It's a shame the association is so strong as I love the name but she was so iconicit'd almost be like calling your baby Madonna or Marilyn iyswim

Lady Di of course. I love the name though, but I wouldn't use it for my daughter because of lady Di.

Littlecherublegs · 04/07/2012 12:21

Princess Dianna - then my friends step-mum!

Princess of Wales

But also a 20-something lady I know - Diana suits her and you forget about any other associations of the name.

evamummy · 04/07/2012 11:29

Princess of Wales

PuffPants · 04/07/2012 11:23

Really OP? I would imagine most people would think Princess of Wales.

And then the goddess - of hunting was it?

FredWorms · 04/07/2012 11:22

princess of wales

JennyPiccolo · 04/07/2012 11:21

Yeah i thought of princess Di as well. Aside from that, though, it's a pretty and classic name. Travels well i think.

TodaysAGoodDay · 04/07/2012 11:21
