Which of these 2 names do you prefer? Both are gorgeous names. When I was younger, I preferred Jessica; but now I slightly prefer Jennifer.

Never taught an unpleasant Jennifer, if that helps. Not too many at the moment either.

VolAuVent · 30/06/2012 22:18

Jennifer, although Jessica is nice too.

Fireandashes · 30/06/2012 21:16

I prefer Jessica to Jennifer, but I prefer Jenny to Jessie/Jess, IYSWIM.

A vote for Jennifer for me, it's a lovely name!!

Jennifer ( our school has so many Jessicas!) - and you don't meet many little Jennys even though it's it such a pretty name!

jennifer

Both are tried and tested, and thus a little uninspiring, but they have served many a girl and woman well so just go with the one you like the most.

mayanna123 · 30/06/2012 20:27

A few years ago I would have said Jessica, but there are now so many of them that on that basis alone, I think Jennifer makes a refreshing change!

And Jenny is a lovely nickname.

Nonio · 30/06/2012 19:21

Jennifer all the way the are 3 jessicas in my daughters class.

IceCubes · 30/06/2012 19:15

I'm a Jennifer. I like the name, I just hate being called 'Jenny' by people who assume I want my name shortened. Jessica is much nicer IMO!

goodygumdrops · 30/06/2012 19:13

I like Jennifer because I like Jen/Jenny.. It is a very gentle sounding, feminine name.

But Jessica is nice too.

Helmondo · 30/06/2012 19:13

Well I prefer Jessica, but then I would say that as its dd2's name!

Jennifer is more of a classic name that won't really go out of 'fashion', and is a really nice name too.

I'd go for Jessica Grin but that's just me being a tad biased

BardOfBarking · 30/06/2012 19:08

As a child I just loved Jennifer's rabbit, so that might swing it for me.

Tom Paxton, what a legend

I prefer Jessica because the 'nif' part of Jennifer looks strangely insulting, whereas the 'sic' part of Jessica, whilst still not a charming
connotation doesn't offend me as much.
Confused

I love both but prefer Jessica
