Victorine?

I love this name and I am currently trying to convince DH to let me have my little baby frog give a French name to DC2 so I would like to have some expert advice on it.

Pronunciation is a conundrum: DH says "Vic-TOR-een" (like Victoria) and I say "VIC-to-reen" (just like Victor). I find mine prettier but it may not be the most natural one..

Like it? Loathe it? Any thoughts?

Just no. Sorry.

Bluestocking · 26/06/2012 22:45

Are you French, OP? If so, surely you know how to pronounce the name?

ZhenThereWereTwo · 26/06/2012 22:37

No,

I actually miss read the title as Victorialine and was wondering who would call their child after a tube line! [tired emoticon]

Oh no. And I have three half French children with French names. It's just, well, not for me.

Ouch. Don't tell me DH is right.
I have an excuse though, my children are half-French and DH already had his Alec. Does that count? :o
