So what's the betting some of these names will start to become mainstream?
I reckon Jaime, Tyrion and Eddard are all very serviceable...

It's more Northern Ireland that Saoirse is contraversial in than RoI due to it's use as a slogan by Republican paramilitary groups.

I love Saorise, and reckon that if anyone outside of Ireland could pronounce it (Sair-shuh), then it would get popular.

I believe it's a controversial name in ROI, though.

Some nice girls' names too, though I can't see Danaerys going mainstream just yet (took me 3 attempts to spell that, I can see why he abbreviates to 'Dany' in the books!)
