Milo?

holyfishnets · 01/07/2012 20:39

What about just Sid and not Sidney. Sid is cool

yellowraincoat · 01/07/2012 01:06

Honestly, I'm not a fan of either.

But I like John and Stephen and Alan, so what the hell do I know? It seems that the fashion is for a la-di-da name.

Cathycomehome · 01/07/2012 01:05

Ok...it's now looking like Theodore or Leo - any thoughts?

(or Raphael, but I think we're of the opinion this might be a bit much!)

Theodore is lovely. I never used to like it but as my cousin has got older Theo really really suits him.

yellowbottle · 24/06/2012 20:29

Nico's is a takeaway around here

EBDTeacher · 24/06/2012 20:25

We had Nicolai on our list, which we would have shortened to Nico.

We went for Oscar thinking it was unusual and now it's the most 'likely to date post trend' name on the block (although I still love it).

I think Nico is less likely to rise and fall.

Stellan · 24/06/2012 19:29

You seem to like names ending in O - Cosmo, Nico, Leo.

Maybe you'll also like
Aldo
Arlo
Bardo
Bruno
Enzo
Horatio
Hugo
Iago
Ianto
Iolo
Ivo
Jago
Ludo
Marco
Milo
Orlando
Rocco
Sholto
Theo
Waldo

There are others, of course, but I think these are the best ones to use if you're not Italian.

I like Nico for what it's worth but I'd only use it as a nickname for Nicholas.

Lannie33 · 24/06/2012 17:03

Nico is a great name, Luca too. What about Kaius/Caius (sounds like KY-us)?

Cathycomehome · 23/06/2012 00:20

Now Leo I've always liked! I considered it last time round, but a certain Mrs Blair and her husband nicked it 3 months before I could use it! Don't think I associate it too much with them now, so it could be a goer, maybe.

Leo - fab.

Theodore - better than Nico. Really very nice.

Nico - gold sovereign wearing petty criminal. (sorry)

Cathycomehome · 23/06/2012 00:07

Oh, sorry, I missed some replies there, thanks for those! I'm not sure about Reuben, I think I quite like that one, actually.

We both really liked Theodore, but my mum HATES it ith a passion and our son's friend said it was a chipmunk's name Hmm

Cathycomehome · 23/06/2012 00:02

I do like Luca; he hates it. He likes Arthur, I don't.

I think I could get him to agree to Leo, which I like and he says is "ok, I suppose", so not a ringing endorsement, but not actual hatred.

Maybe it could be Sam the Sequel Wink

I love it. It was on my list for ds2 and dd.

serin · 22/06/2012 23:54

Sidney is awful.

serin · 22/06/2012 23:53

LOL! I think I might know of the the same man Susie Grin

I like the name and also love Otto and Rocco.

susiedaisy · 22/06/2012 23:33

I only know of one Nico and he's not a nice bloke been in and out of prison for petty crimes, it has put me right off the name, sorry !

firsttimemama · 22/06/2012 23:32

Nico is a boys name - and is tonnes better than Sidney

PrisonerOfWaugh · 22/06/2012 23:30

Nico, Cosmo and Cassius are all great. Sidney not so much.

The Nico I know has a big brother Reuben if that helps?

HalleLouja · 22/06/2012 23:23

Luca?

Cassius is not great in my book. Like Nico though. Don't like Sidney.

Cathycomehome · 22/06/2012 23:17

That's what OH associates with too.

Is Cassius really stupid? Our big son is called Samuel. How has it come to this?! ;)

Nico is a girl's name to me, possibly because of this lovely lady

Cathycomehome · 22/06/2012 23:12

For a boy. Cosmo we both like, but worried is too pretentious/ weird.

OP posts:
FfoFfycsecs · 22/06/2012 23:10

Sidney is bad. Sorry. Too much like kidney.

FfoFfycsecs · 22/06/2012 23:10

For a girl, yes?
