Linden or Lynden for a boy? Too girly?
As an alternative to Rowan.

I knew a Lindon (male) and a Linden (female). I suppose because of that I'd think of Linden as a girls name. It is bit girly. But then I think Rowan is a girls name too.

I had a female colleague called Linden.

And also have strong family connection with Lynda

You hear lots of flower/nature names for girls these days but not really for boys.

It sounds masculine to me,without being overly so. Very definitely a boys name imho, and one that'll work well at any age.

lilaloves · 09/06/2012 21:39

Does it sound masculine enough?I quite like its gentle meaning but wouldn't want it too sound frilly.

lilaloves · 09/06/2012 21:34

I love the name. My baby brother had a friend called Lyndon, although he was often caused Lynda ( by mistake when really little, and it stuck)

TheMightyMojoceratops · 09/06/2012 21:30

It's Linton in Wuthering Heights.

TheMightyMojoceratops · 09/06/2012 21:30

We know a lovely Lyndon.

ReportMeNow · 09/06/2012 21:30

Rowan lovely

ReportMeNow · 09/06/2012 21:29

Isn't he a feeble weakling in Wuthering Heights?

HappyCamel · 09/06/2012 21:26

Lyndon is ok. Linden is a type of tree and a house building company.

President Lyndon B Johnson. 36th US President. I quite like it actually :)
