Boy's name to go with Dominic...

... Aidan and Barnabas. DS 4 is due in October. We had three boys' names that we agreed on. We have used them all up :)

I currently like:
Benedict
Gabriel
Jacob
Cosmo
Judah
Elias

I like names that are "proper" names and don't sound made up, IYSWIM, but are unusual and won't date. We didn't manage too well there with Aidan Wink

All suggestions gratefully received.

I instantly thought Benedict! But I would avoid 2 'B' names.

When pg with dc4, I for a while wanted to call him Rowan Bede, but that wouldn't have fitted with our other names, but would fit perfectly with your's!

GreenDragonfly · 12/06/2012 09:51

Dominic is our choice for if we have another boy and have at some point or other considered most of your other names.

We already have a son who's name is Cole.

From your list my favourite is Gabriel.

bananaramma · 12/06/2012 09:43

Dominic, Aidan, Barnabas and
Cosmo
Gabriel
Quentin
Edmund
Tristan
Fergus
All seem to fit your criteria of being 'unusual' and not dateable imo. I'd avoid duplicate letters (e.g. Benedict)

JeanetteKrankie · 12/06/2012 06:42

How about Jago? It's a Celtic/Cornish form of James.

mathanxiety · 12/06/2012 05:48

Solomon

dementedma · 11/06/2012 21:02

Laurence, Jude, James, Nicholas, Simon, Angus, Tobias

kickingKcurlyC · 11/06/2012 19:03

I like Elias best from your list, and Christian from the other suggestions so far.

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 11/06/2012 18:03

Rufus. I met a baby one recently, great name.

mathanxiety · 11/06/2012 18:00

I would suggest Jonas, Anthony and Fergus.
Love Conor and Thaddeus too.

I love your list although Jacob is very popular.

fizzymoon · 11/06/2012 12:04

I love all those choices! Benedict is also on my list- Cosmo is awesome!

emmyloo2 · 11/06/2012 09:48

I love those names suggested by greenbeans.

Lawrence and Monty in particular.

I thought Nathaniel, too, or Robin, but Gabriel, Jacob and Benedict fit nicely. Cosmo is great, but could be hard to carry off!

GnocchiNineDoors · 09/06/2012 22:43

You shoudl go with a C name so their initials are A, B, C and D

Or, what about
George
Christian
Edmund
Rupert

poppydaisy · 09/06/2012 22:35

Tristan
Lysander
Fabian
Quentin
Marcus

LittleWhiteWolf · 09/06/2012 20:54

Definitely Gabriel. Its a fab name!

tabbycat7 · 09/06/2012 20:51

Ivana great minds think alike Wink

This is great everybody, thanks :)

I think of Aidan as timeless - Northumbrian saints (kings?) & all.

James is great. I like everything from your list except Cosmo (wanky) & Judah (dunno why not).
