Does it just make you think of the shop?
I like, but don't love.

What else might I like? I think I like it because it sounds (to me) strong without being harsh.

What say you?

shop and royal, although I always thought it a bit low class for a royal.

Zara is a lovely name :) I don't think of the shop at all, but do think of the royal Zara (and I like her).

How about Zinnia, Zarina, Zaneta?

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 08/06/2012 17:05

My greatGM was called Zulma.

There is a famous Zizi in france

Sophia can be spelled Zophia in some languages.

And of course there is Ziva in NCIS.

I think you are pretty limited with a Z for a girl.

I like Zara but it does make me think of the shop. I used to work with a Zena and I always admired her name!

blondiep14 · 08/06/2012 16:55

Ah, the Royal connection, of course. Well, as far as Royal's go she's ok I guess!

Like Edith!

DH is keen on Z as an initial now we've discussed Zara. Apart from Zoe, is there anything else nice?

I think of the shop and Zara Philips. Sara is nicer IMO.

I like strong, non-frilly girls names too.

I don't think of anything! But it's a lovely name

AdventuresWithVoles · 08/06/2012 16:14

Shop, yes. Also makes me think of a Zara in DS year 3 group; I mix her up with another child called Zaranne (spelt similar but said completely differently).

squoosh · 08/06/2012 16:07

I think of the royal Zara.

redrubyshoes · 08/06/2012 15:58

Zara Phillips.
