Just throwing these out there to see what the general consensus is!!

Thor and Loki? :)

Lovecat · 30/05/2012 14:57

Sorry, OP, unless you're actually Scandiwegian, I would say NOOOOO to Thor. Poor kid will never live it down and it will date him inexorably to the time of the Avengers movies.

As for Bay - isn't that what Kirsty Homemade Show called her first? It makes me think i) of Wolefs ii) of trees/herbal seasoning iii) of her simpering over a piece of not-very-good crochet.

Classic names? Really??

DottieRose · 30/05/2012 14:53

Catsdontcare I wasn't planning on using both Thor and Bay together actually but thanks for the comment! Hmm

No, no and thrice no. Both are awful, really awful, sorry.

Catsdontcare · 30/05/2012 14:50

How about lemon? And then use Thor bay as middle names?

DottieRose · 30/05/2012 14:50

Bay is for a boy!

Is Bay for a boy or a girl?

OpheliasWeepingWillow · 30/05/2012 14:42

Said together sounds like a seaside resort

Sorry

Littlecherublegs · 30/05/2012 14:37

Not keen on either sorry.

In fact, a woman at work has jokingly named my bump Thor. Think she thought it was the most outrageous name she could think of and everyone laughs when she says it as no-one could seriously name their child that - could they??!!

Bay is slightly better - just slightly.

Stellan · 30/05/2012 14:26

Is Bay really a classic name? Hmm

sonniboo · 30/05/2012 14:22

I like Bay. Thor is ok - would you pronounce it Thor or Tor (I prefer the latter).

evamummy · 30/05/2012 14:21

But both are underused but classic names - I don't think you can go wrong with either.

IndigoBell · 30/05/2012 14:21

No and Definitely Not

evamummy · 30/05/2012 14:20

I know a Thor - was a bit Hmm at first but now quite like it.

I also know a Bayard, nicknamed Bay. I like it too.
