Love the name Thalia so much. But surname is Taylor. Is Thalia Taylor too ridiculous?

I think it sounds odd too, sorry & isn't Thalia a Shoe company in Europe, or am I thinking of something similar

Well, Thalia Taylor sounds to me like 'Tinker, Tailor', then I automatically think 'soldier, spy'. This could just be me, of course, and is not a big deal. Thalia is a very cool name but try to think of all possible criticisms your little one could get before bestowing this (or any) name.

For example, I really like the name Penelope, but the abbreviation 'Penny' rhymes with our surname and sounds silly, so that name was a no-no for both DDs.

I like alliterative names, but this sounds a bit wrong, to me.

Alliteration in names makes me twitch although I do like the name

It's not ridiculous, but I'm not generally a fan of same initial first and surnames. Also, the TT in this case would make me think of the Isle of Man races.

Thalia is a lovely name though. Would you consider it as a middle name?
