Ashley is all boy

Nobhead · 15/05/2012 20:49

I love it- spelling and all. It's on my list of girls names.

Geranium3 · 15/05/2012 20:48

No way! sorry, sounds common and naff!

EBDTeacher · 15/05/2012 20:42

Aisling? Less dated.

WetAugust · 15/05/2012 20:27

very dated

Showmethemhappyfeet · 15/05/2012 16:26

It's my names, never really bothered me to be honest

nizlopi · 15/05/2012 14:43

Hate the spelling, Ashley is nicer.

ThePieSmuggler · 15/05/2012 09:01

I really dislike it, sorry.

SodoffBaldrick · 15/05/2012 09:00

Ashleigh - that spelling - seems very 80s/90s to me. I'd lump it in with Kelly and Lisa type names. Not to my taste, but not awful. Just a bit dated.

I was at school with a male Ashleigh (not sure now how he spelled it) and also think of Peacock, the butcher in Corrie.

Zara1984 · 14/05/2012 22:07

Go for it! Mind you I'm biased, my middle name is Ashley. Grin your spelling is the better one.

For a boy or girl?

I say this as I went to school with an Ashleigh (male).

sonniebonnie · 14/05/2012 21:29

Well, I probably wouldn't choose it myself but it does make a refreshing change from all the Evies, Ellies and Millies around here. It is a perfectly normal feminine name. If you love it, why not?

poppy283 · 14/05/2012 21:28

Sorry it's a nay from me, reminds me if that cartoon 'recess' where there were 3 Ashleys, all with sisters called Britney.

So I suppose it's too American sounding for my tastes.

PacketOfBiscuits · 14/05/2012 21:19

I quite like it.
