registration tomorrow, help.

We've been calling dd2 Lara for the last 3 weeks but dh has now decided this is a bit dull and he prefers Cassia. I think I'd find it hard to change. So do we call register her as Cassia Lara or lara Cassia, and will she end up with identity crisis if she gets called two different names

Which do you prefer? Dd1 is saskia which i think is a little close to Cassia tbh, especially if they are sas and cas.

I think you should stick with Lara Cassia - they sound lovely together.

Cassia and Saskia too similar IMHO.

If choosing Lara, I'd use Larissa as full name.

How about Carina, Laura, Louisa, Clarissa, Coralie?

I like Clarissa and also Cassandra. She could Be Cassie for short. I think I prefer Cassia to Lara.

You can't have Saskia and Cassia is like a tongue twister. I also don't think Cassia is as nice a name as Saskia.

I would go for Lara Cassia

What about Saskia and Lila??

I prefer Lara Cassia.

Other options as well as Clara, Clarissa, Cressida:
Alanna, Christabel, Corinna, Tamara?

Lara Cassia is lovely. Cassia is a bit too close to Saskia imo.

Definitely not cassia.

Clara/Lara/cara/Laura are all much better alongside saskia (as well as not being flatulence treating spices Grin)

I like Clara. :)

Not Cara, Clara - it's beautiful, classic, works well with Saskia and it's the perfect compromise!

My 3dc have similar sounding names- Do NOT do it!
Saskia and Lara is much better
Or even Laura (not very common now)

If you like one and DH likes the other, why don't you toss a coin for first name?

it doesn't matter which one you call her in every day life, as long as she knows who she is, and generally schools will use whatever name you tell them to.

I don't think you can have Saskia and Cassia, can you? How about Cressida?

Should I tell you that .Cassia is a spice that's very effective in the treatment of flatulence? Or not?

I do think Saskia and Cassia are a bit too similar. I like Cara/Kara more than Lara though. That's probably no help.

Saskia and Cassia are just too close IMO.

Clara would be a good compromise and you could still call her Lara.
