Sibling name 'sets'?

I know quite a few (at least 2 personally, and 1 set does the voice of George Pig on Peppa Pig :o!) Oliver and Alices, 2 Hugo and Isaacs, and knew a couple of David and Alistairs at school.

I'm now starting to worry that DH and I have chosen a new 'sibling set' of names for our DC, as today we overheard DS's name and DC2's name together a LOT. DC2 is due next month, and we can still change the name we've chosen, obviously, but I just wondered what names you hear together a lot?

I think your over thinking this - just call them a name that you like. I really don't understand the issue if other siblings are called the same (which they are going to be if you pick popular names).

See, we have an Oliver already, and the girl's name we've chosen is also popular/common. But we have a very limited choice of names as it needs to work in both the UK, and DH's (eastern european) country, and DH disagrees with almost every name I like, and only likes names which are very very simple and classic.

but as the girl's name we like hasn't been mentioned here, then maybe it was just coincidence that we heard the 2 names together EVERYWHERE today :o I think we heard Oliver being yelled from every corner when I was v. pg with DS, so maybe it's just my mind is more attuned to the names now?

It's very likely if someone chooses a popular girls name then they'll probably also like popular boys names, so there are lots of
Sam and Jack
Charlie and Ellie
Jack and Grace
Alfie and Evie
