Sydney Coco for a girl?

Hi, we are expecting a yellow baby on 4th May - we are happy with our boy choice - Harry Carter but would like advice on Sydney Coco if it's a girl.

Cheers!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
itfcbabe · 28/04/2012 00:15

I love both of the names but not together
I went to school with a girl called Coco Scarlett which i think is beautiful
I think Sydney goes well with something like May as she is going to be born in May.

I think Harry is to common but like Carter

but go with what ever your happy with.
xx

No. Please, no.

Yellow?!

gallicgirl · 27/04/2012 23:24

oh!

light bulb moment

MissCeliaFoote · 27/04/2012 23:24

Oh god please don't name your child Sydney Coco. Sorry to be mean! But it sounds like a nightclub or something.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 27/04/2012 23:16

Love Sydney ! :) wouldn't put it with coco though

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 27/04/2012 23:16

unknown

usualsuspect · 27/04/2012 23:13

WTF is a yellow baby?

Popoozle · 27/04/2012 23:11

And do people seriously not know what a yellow baby is? I'd just assumed the OP was working along the lines of:
Blue = boy.
Pink = girl.
Yellow = unknown.

Am I wrong then?

Popoozle · 27/04/2012 23:08

I like it. That means it will be hugely unpopular on MN Grin. Ask for opinions on Gertrude Vera however....... Confused.

gallicgirl · 27/04/2012 23:07

It's trying too hard.

Not all babies are yellow you know and jaundice soon clears up.

DumSpiroSpero · 27/04/2012 23:06

Spell it with a 'c' and tell people it's after Cyd Charisse if they think it's chavvy! Grin

I must admit I wouldn't go for it myself, but I have a slight soft spot as DD's first favourite cuddly was Sydney (albeit a boy)...definitely wouldn't put it with Coco though - I think a more classic name would 'take the edge off' any dubious perceptions and give another option when she's older of she wanted.

ExitPursuedByABear · 27/04/2012 23:06

No, just no.

Yellow Confused

OhBuggerandArse · 27/04/2012 23:04

Is this a reverse AIBU?

AGunInMyPetticoat · 27/04/2012 23:01

Sounds like some horrible novelty drink to me, sorry!

If you're thinking Coco as in Chanel, how about Gabrielle?

NovackNGood · 27/04/2012 23:00

Harry Carter...Farter

Sydney Coco...Loco.

Sydney is more a boys name and to be honest Sydney Coco sounds rather like a strippers name.

MinnieBar · 27/04/2012 23:00

Sydney Coco = I should coco

NettoSuperstar · 27/04/2012 23:00

Terrible.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 27/04/2012 22:58

Dear GOD! NO! Poor kid!

1950sHousewife · 27/04/2012 22:56

Another vote for stripper.
I actually like Sydney quite a lot, although it is [ducks and waits for flaming as well] a bit chavvy.
Coco I can do without. It sounds like a poodle who performs tricks at a circus.

Have you thought about Anne. It's due a revival... Grin

meditrina · 27/04/2012 22:55

Padme?

PiInTheSky · 27/04/2012 22:55

I quite like Sydney but put together with Coco it does sound like a stripper name, sorry. :(

meditrina · 27/04/2012 22:55

I think both Sydney and Coco are lovely names. But to me they don't sound right together together.

lisad123 · 27/04/2012 22:54

Sorry heard girls name and thought stripper Blush

Pandygirl · 27/04/2012 22:54

If she's born on the Fourth of May you have to call her Leia.

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets · 27/04/2012 22:52
