a sister for Orla

Twenty week scan today and DC2 is a girl (although lying awkwardly so sonographer said to keep receipts for pink stuff just in case!) so need some name suggestions that go with DD1's name which is Orla.

I thought we'd already got it down to two names - Clara and Nina - but now DH says he's not sure.

I also love Flora but can't use that as don't want rhyming sibling names. We also want to steer clear of another O name but don't mind an alliterative name for a girl.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I know two sisters called Orla and Nessa.

This might be left-of-field, but I think Catherine, shortened to Katie would be nice. Orla and Katie sounds good to me anyway.

mamasin, I LOVE Realtin. But it does look wrong with no fadas.

Flora is odd with Orla.

I ^love Clara and Nina.

Irish names that would be a nice match, imo: Sorcha, Ciara, Roisin.

Niamh
Maeve
Aoife (my favourite and what DS4 would have been if he had been a girl)
Aisling

Caoimhe
Aoife
Niamh
Roisin

I am Orla and my sisters are Catriona and Patricia if that's any help

welovesausagedogs · 26/04/2012 23:55

What about:
Lola
Isla
Iona
Erin
Maeve
Edie
Evie
Rae
Maya
Amba
Rosa
Tullulah
Esme

Personally i like Orla and Erin or Orla and Iona best

HolyCameraConfusionBatman · 26/04/2012 23:46

Clara, Nina and Flora are all nice names, but all too similar to Orla imo.

I'd look for something that doesn't end in 'uh'.

How about;

Niamh
Grace
Alice
Nancy

BBQJuly · 26/04/2012 21:25

I'd go for Nina out of those. I think the R, L and A in Clara make it too similar to Orla. How about Cara instead? Sounds less similar without the L. Flora is virtually an anagram of Orla.
