Baby boy due soon and inspiration has yet to strike!

It's got to be relatively easy to spell/pronounce, not too "aspirational" (eg Benedict/Arlo/Caspian type things). We would like to avoid anything starting with H as we are from Yorkshire :)

Scottish/Irish names fine as long as they are not too difficult to spell (nothing with fadas!)

Ideally a "classless" name that could take you from cradle to grave...we're not asking for much eh!

Don't have a problem with long names that can be shortened or short names that can't.

Relatively popular is fine but would prefer to avoid the James/Thomas type names i.e. five in every class. We are in an area where the most popular names are heavily used.

Can anybody help!

All easy to spell and pronounce and most have obvious shortening, none are "odd" nor so commonplace there are 5 in every class!

D1 is called harris. I know you said no 'h' names but i couldnt help suggesting it because im from yorkshire too. It sounds
quite funny when hearing his nursery friends shouting - 'ere 'arris come ova ere t'play!'

I love it because it's ds's name, but also, it's not too common or too unusual.
