What do you think of Juniper? I read a book as a child with an amazing heroine named Juniper and have liked the name ever since. I love how it looks written down but something is bugging me about the sound 'iper' at the end. Thoughts please?

might get shortened to Nipper? Not sure but again if you like it why not :)

It does sound too close to 'did you nip her?' for me.

It's also the name of a character in the Percy Jackson books, but as she's a goodie, that shouldn't be problematic.

And gin (sorry).

Makes me think of Jennifer Juniper.

I know a Juniper, but she gets 'Nipper' for short which I'm not so sure about. Pretty name though!

How about Jennifer?

Love Juniper. Trying to convince dh myself!

It sounds like you're trying too hard TBH.

I don't think it sounds very nice, in theory a really pretty name but it has a flat sound. I think it would be hard not to nickname to june / juno or something which flows a bit better.

I love it.

My three kids have names from favourite books and I think it is great to be able to share the story with them when they are old enough.

Juniper sounds like a strong and beautiful girl to me who perhaps might have a slightly unusual hobby like archery or judo.
