If DH likes X and I like Y, what might we both love?

Thanks again to all those of you who helped me to get over my wobble. We are back to being set on Sebastian. But what for a middle...?

We want something fresh-sounding, slightly unusual, possibly naturey, and fairly short.

Both like Leif but there are certain initials that won't do and L is one of them. Other no-no's are C, K, D, R.

So, I love Rowan (but it's an R), Archer and Frey

DH likes Beck and Harper

Any ideas that we both might like that meet our criteria?! Or which do you like out of our ideas (if any)?

Thank you all again.

Why not Eden?

BelleStar · 07/04/2012 22:27

We had a girl, but Bryce was on our list for a boy. We looooove Bryce Canyon. And agree - better than Grand Canyon IMO too!

mathanxiety · 07/04/2012 21:37

Yay!

Hudson reminds me of the Hudson River and the beautiful Hudson River valley, and Hudson Bay, all named after Henry Hudson the navigator.

Bryce Canyon is imo much nicer than the Grand Canyon.

I like saying Sebastian Fletcher! But don't think I actually like the name, sorry, but thank you!

Great list math thanks!

DH actually likes one! Hudson - off to Google!

I also like Moss, and I like the look of Soren, but not sure how to pronounce it?! Quite like Bryce too, will Google that one too thank you lots!

Okay I'm back to it. Right, I like Red and Reed thank you, but they're Rs.

Anybody any more ideas?! I know we're very hard to please!

Not keen on Arco and DH doesn't like Archer because of Archie as it was a family dog. Have just found 'Art' (meaning 'a bear') on another website though, which I am liking and DH actually said maybe!!

Don't mind Bay, but don't love it. And actually really like Inigo (and Indigo!) but the 'o' ending sounds silly with surname!

But thank you all again!

Why are certain initials vetoed? Would they make unfortunate acronyms or something? I have a friend with surname beginning A, and they were going with Isabel Rose until they realised the initials: IRA.

CrustyOnion · 06/04/2012 22:32

Basil
Bay
Dill
Get my theme there?

Inigo? Just because Sebastian Inigo sounds good IMO

Oh sorry Ellovera, and thank you lots for trying! :)

I like Otto but doesn't sound good with surname, and really like Oak but as usual DH pulled his face!

Moore is interesting, but makes me think of Roger and Dudley, sorry!

This is starting to stress me out! I really like Sebastian Archer but there's no budging the hubs! Angry

I have an uncle named Moore. Never met another one.

therewasalittlegirl · 06/04/2012 22:10

Elijah was on our original list for a first name so do really like that thank you. Just want something a little more unusual for a middle name...

Eben pronounced like that is nice, but sounds like Evan which we know one of!
