Lily-something?

or possibly Something-Molly perhaps?

Along the lines of Lily-Beth, or Hannah-Molly.

Not May Rose or Grace though.

All ideas gratefully received! Smile

I feel bad about saying bad things about Lilith, now. I hope I haven't offended anyone with a little Lilith.

Thumbbunny · 07/04/2012 01:40

yep - it's a great song with a great history! [busmile]

chipmonkey · 07/04/2012 01:39

Sorry this stuff

chipmonkey · 07/04/2012 01:38

Thumbbunny, do you know that song was about [http://www.medshopexpress.com/069062.html This stuff]] Except that the tonic originally contained alcohol!

jifnotcif · 07/04/2012 01:32

Lilyemma

or Lilienne (just made that up)

Lilylou

I think you need a name with one syllable, or it should begin with vowel.

Lilyanna

or Lilyvonne

Lila is nice variation, or Leila

Thumbbunny · 07/04/2012 01:31

I know a little girl here (Australia) called Indie-Rose. Actually, I don't know if she's hyphenated or not but she's always called Indie Rose. Indie might be an alternative to Lily? But then again, it's very popular in Australia (possibly not in the USA).

Lily Claire is nice.

I also know of a Lily Pink in the UK - but it always makes me smile because I think of so possibly not!

chipmonkey · 07/04/2012 01:13

The decision to hyphenate has already been made.

gafhyb · 06/04/2012 10:29

Don't hyphenate it.

puddeycat · 06/04/2012 07:37

What about Lilly-Rae

And she wouldn't be called Lilith as a little girl anyway - well not much - she'll be Lily-something.

I don't think the doll thing is quite the same. You were set up, chipmonkey. There was a joke and it was on you.

There is no joke here, my friend loves the name.

I know a little girl called Lilith, I think it's a lovely name

LesAnimaux · 05/04/2012 23:00

Never seen Cheers?

Or Fraiser?

You must be..........young.

Or never have owned a TV.

chipmonkey · 05/04/2012 22:59

threeleftfeet, when I was little I got a doll for Christmas. Someone asked me what she was called and I hadn't named her yet. My lovely uncle suggested Jezebel! I thought it was a beautiful name and called that doll Jezebel for years. It was only when I was a teenager that I understood what Jezebel meant.
Now, I didn't understand the implications of the name when I was little but was quite upset to think that people were laughing at me over my doll's name all through my childhood and no-one had the good grace to tell me!

Yes she will grow up to be a woman but she will be a little girl first and I don't know that I could look at a little girl and call her Lilith.

But anyhow, what do I know, I called my dd Sylvie-Rose and a lot of people here think hyphenated names are the work of the devil!

threeleftfeet · 05/04/2012 22:44

Why do you think a name representing female sexual power is wrong for someone who will after all grow up to be a woman one day?

(She won't get the reference when she's little).

I think that's worth examining, I reckon it's your conditioning Wink

Never seen Cheers, sorry.

I immediatly thought Mae, Mai before I saw your OP. It it May in general or just the expected spelling?

how about:

Lily-Jo
Lily - Belle
Lily - Cate
Lily -Eve
Lily - Faith
Lily - Jade
Lily - Meg
Lily- Paige
Lily - Rae

my favourites from here

chipmonkey · 05/04/2012 22:17

But even a name representing female sexual power seems wrong for a little baby. And she was Frasier's wife in Cheers!

LesAnimaux · 05/04/2012 21:46

Lilly-Tatiana
