Hi all, Still deciding!

Really liking the idea of an alliteration, so looking for an M name for our second daughter. Really like short punchy names, but also pretty and French names... Bit undecided as you can see! We like but cannot use Martha, and not sure about Mabel. I like Maelin, but not sure DH does....

Any suggestions? At the moment we have Rosa in top spot, unless we find something we like more. Thanks!

Our Mabel is MM too!

IndieNile · 03/04/2012 19:39

If you like alliteration, how about Milly Molly Mandy? :) (old gimmer)

More seriously, I think Marina is lovely, and can be shortened to Marnie.

Someone suggested Miette - please, no - it means crumb in French!

Marta

Marguerite

(I have to say although helped by her long dark brown ringlets, my little girl completely suits Mabel and we get complimented all of the time)

And Happy Easter from Lucie Mabel Atwell.

Maggie, short for Marianne so you have a cool nn and a literary 'Sunday Best' one.

LeeCoakley · 02/04/2012 18:46

How about spelling it Maybelle with the stress on belle? That's nice and french-ish

lilbreeze · 02/04/2012 18:13

Mabel is lovely and presumably from the French "ma belle" so a bit French(ish!)

carrotsandcelery · 02/04/2012 18:06

The name above has reminded me of the name Murren. I don't know if someone has already suggested it.

Bruce Willis has just named his daughter Mabel which is lovely.
