Ok so we are struggling for a name for ds3.

We have a Dylan and a Miles already.

Quite liking Fenix/Phoenix, opinions pleaseSmile

We learned after ds1, never share the name with anyone in advance (especially MIL!). Their opinion does not count and only causes confusion!

I have a Felix, it's a bloody great name. There are worse things to be reminded of than a cat.

Phoenix is ok, Fenix - never.

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 11:59

I guess Nicholas and Alexander just remind me of people I went to school with.. I like names that are different to those of my generation perhaps. I don't see Miles as normal as I only know one IRL..

Rory just reminds me of the racing car!

Nicholas might be too normal (weird though - in my mind, Miles is just about as normal as you can get!) but Nico isn't as a short.

Alexander shortened to Xander?

Rory?

Iam Grin I appreciate your directness.

Harrison is very cool, and ages well. Phoenix isn't,and doesn't.

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 11:33

Hmm Harrison is growing on me as a first name but I think dh prefers Phoenix... Hmm

I still can't imagine looking at a lovely newborn and calling him Phoenix though, but then I can't imagine naming a newborn 'Frank' either, and that seems to be fairly popular on MN.

IAmYourSingingTelegram · 31/03/2012 11:29

No it's not quite that bad.I'll give you that.

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 11:28

Shock no way is Phoenix as bad as Spike!

OP posts:
IAmYourSingingTelegram · 31/03/2012 11:27

I think your assistance is needed on the Spike thread too,Seeker.Grin

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 11:27

Nicholas is too normalGrin

Ellis is interesting... Not sure about EdenSmile

startail · 31/03/2012 11:26

Ellis Harrison could work?

Eden?

seeker · 31/03/2012 11:24

Dylan, Miles and Nicholas (Nico)

I will name this child!

IAmYourSingingTelegram · 31/03/2012 11:23

I really like Harrison. Phoenix is still awful.

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 11:19

Grin not sure I'd necessarily use Ethan or Finn, just saying those are the names I like the sound of.. Still liking my Phoenix and Harrison atm...

OP posts:
IAmYourSingingTelegram · 31/03/2012 11:11

Every second boy is called Finn, or so it seems on MN. Though I think Jude is the new Finn.

Chateauneuf · 31/03/2012 10:33

Dylan and Ethan is a bit of a mouthful...

IAmYourSingingTelegram · 31/03/2012 10:30

Ethan is lovely. Much nicer than Finn.

seeker · 31/03/2012 10:07

There are loads and loads of Ethans, though. And if you live in Kent, they are all called Efan! My ds actually wrote in a card "Happy Birfday, Efan" when he was about 6!

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 10:05

Out of the latest suggestions Finn and Ethan are the ones that stand outSmile

DairyNips · 31/03/2012 10:03

Hey Percy I haven't abandoned the other thread. I just like to get opinions on specific names seperatelySmile I do keep checking back in on that one for more suggestions..

mumzy · 31/03/2012 09:22

Not keen but at least if you spelt it Phoenix people will pronounce it correctly. My personal bugbear are parents who use "alternative" spellings for names and berate others when it's not pronounce to their satisfaction. Bloody spell the name properly then! (rant over)

mathanxiety · 31/03/2012 02:38

Dylan, Miles and Jethro
Dylan, Miles and Fintan/Finbar/Finn
Dylan, Miles and Ethan
Dylan, Miles and Emmett
Dylan, Miles and Fergus
Dylan, Miles and Jonah
Dylan, Miles and Hamish
Dylan, Miles and Wyatt
Dylan, Miles and Logan
Dylan, Miles and Asher (funny link to Phoenix is accidental)
Dylan, Miles and Owen
Dylan, Miles and Asa

PercyFilth · 31/03/2012 02:02

I made some suggestions on the OP's original thread, which was abandoned for some reason.

threeleftfeet · 31/03/2012 00:58

How about Phinneas?
