Rosemary?

Hubby and I chose the name a couple of months ago, but as our due date gets closer I can't help but wonder if it really is as lovely as I first thought. Nobody else that I've told seems to like it at all :( (although DH is still convinced). I'm just a little worried with our surname 'Mallows' she's going to sound a little like a Cumbrian tourist attraction.

Any thoughts?

Rosemary for remembrance my Auntie used to say.
I like it as a name.

It's a lovely name :)

Rosemary Mallows has a nice cadence to it, in my opinion. Lancelottie's comment about rose mallow, however, is duly noted. If you and your husband love the name, you should use it. It sounds like, however, you don't really love it so you might want to sit down with your husband and have a re-think. You could, alternatively, leave it until after your baby is born and make a decision once you've seen your daughter. It'd be good to have Rosemary on standby as a name you're both happy with if you don't come up with something you like more.

I don't mind Rosemary but, personally, I prefer Rose, Rosalie, Rosamund, and Rosalind.

Rose Mallow is a type of plant, though.

It's ok, not fabulous though. I'd lump it in with name such as Barbara and Hilary.

Rose is nicer.
