Flora, Frances, Florence.

However I knew an elderly Flossie who was Henrietta!

So choose whatever you like.

ipanicked · 27/03/2012 22:01

The only Flossie I know is actually a Fiona

My SIL is Floss/Flossie and her real name is Frances.

duchesse · 27/03/2012 11:55

We call our Felicity Flossie sometimes.

3boysgirlontheway · 27/03/2012 11:40

I have a Florence that I planned on calling Floss or Flossie once she was born, but, now that she is here I find Flossie very hard to use on her. Its hard to explain, but, it just doesn't seem to work on a small baby Blush

Felicia (fell-ees-e-ah or ful-iss-e-ah)

I know one who is Fliss or Flossie.

Greenshirt · 26/03/2012 23:20

Our Felicity is sometimes called Flissy Floss.

leftwingharpie · 24/03/2012 19:02

My cousin is Caroline Roberta and from birth everyone has called her Bobby. Could your DD have the middle name Florence and go as Floss?

BellaBearisWideAwake · 24/03/2012 14:28

I know a Flossy who is Felicity really

parttimedomesticgoddess · 24/03/2012 14:21

My DD2 is called Katie, and although I call her this most often, I also call her Flossie some of the time. I don't know why it started, but she is petite and v cute, and it seems to suit her. I'm mostly the only one who does call her this, and I'm sure she'll grow out of it, but it really does suit her. So you could call her anything you like and still call her Flossie...

badtime · 24/03/2012 14:05

I like Florentina/Florentyna and Florianne or Floriana.

Also Floria, Floris or Florinda are 'real' names which I think could be easily shortened to Flossie.

CecilyP · 24/03/2012 13:29

What about Frances or Francesca?

DaisySteiner · 24/03/2012 13:22

I know a Flossy who is called Felicity.

notso · 23/03/2012 13:28

The only Flossie I know is actually called Louise.

DamselInDisarray · 23/03/2012 13:22

Floella.

I think it's horrible, but it might do.

Or you could call her Elizabeth and the give her just about anything as a day-to-day name. It's what they all did back in the day.

poppydaisy · 23/03/2012 13:18

Doesn't Flossie make you think of flossing your teeth... or maybe that's just me.

I like Flora though.
