Think I'll do this for every month, quite fun for me to see the patterns and the slightly silly names, plus it assures me each month that no one has the name I have picked out for DC1 due in the summer Grin

Last month the girls definitely had the more "oddball" names but there weren't too many crazy offerings. This month is a different story!!

Tally of # girls vs. boys

January - 70 girls, 58 boys
Feburary - 51 girls, 67 boys

I have starred my particular "wowza" favorites Wink

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
gallicgirl · 04/03/2012 16:53

I think some Americans seem to use the mother's maiden name as a child's name so maybe that accounts for Livingston.

I was wondering if you were in London because a lot of those names are erm...popular in some places.

Fishpond · 04/03/2012 16:48

I was particularly astonished by Livingston this month! I mean - really?! I guess they could call her Livi but still!

And yes there seem to be no end to the Bentley's. I think it's such an unattractive name, can't believe it's so popular Confused

I know a Danica too. Quite a nice name.

DilysPrice · 04/03/2012 14:38

Danica is OK I think, like the racing driver. But Kolbie is a shocker.

InSeine · 04/03/2012 14:34

Only just spotted that you are in the US, i was thinking that it didn't look like a very British list!

Vanfurgstan · 04/03/2012 13:56

i love your name threads.
there are always a few bentleys.it seems to b a very popular name where u r

faeriemoo · 04/03/2012 13:53

~shudders~

Rhubarbgarden · 04/03/2012 13:46

My cousin has a Danica. I thought she'd made it up.

Aubrey for a girl is just wrong.

pixiestix · 04/03/2012 11:14

Paizley - ouch.

SayBoo · 04/03/2012 11:13

I love that someone called their son Atreyu Grin

Why do Yanks love calling their girls Kennedy? I even know a Kinnidie. Outrageous.

cookielove · 04/03/2012 11:12

Wow, some of those are interesting, i thought it had to be American, as soon as i read Bentley.

FilterCoffee · 04/03/2012 11:05

Thanks Fishpond, very interesting :)

LineRunner · 04/03/2012 01:07

I'm still trying to work past Braxton.

ilovemybum · 04/03/2012 01:02

My DS's name hasn't appeared once on mn and i doubt it ever will!

Fishpond · 04/03/2012 00:55

Sorry to drip feed - forgot the explanation for those who may not have seen the December and January threads.

I live in the middle of the US somewhere in a community of roughly 100k. Haven't listed babies' middle names for discretion, although they are available. The parents have agreed to the babies being listed on the public website, they can opt out if they choose and obviously then I wouldn't be able to see the names, so the ones you see are the ones who have agreed. Smile
